Exclusive breastfeeding behavior of adolescent mothers: A qualitative study

Introduction: The overall rate of exclusive breastfeeding for infants under six months age is only 41%. Many factors are known to contribute unsuccessful breastfeeding, including maternal age. Adolescent mothers associated with the incidence early marriage. Currently, there has been an estimated number marriages around 650 million in world. This study aimed explore behavior marriage mothers. Methods: a qualitative phenomenological approach. data were collected through one-to-one interviews seven adolescent babies aged 6-9 as research participants. Interviews recorded, transcribed, translated and thematically analyzed using NVivo 12 trial version software. Results: found that can be grouped into 5 themes: perspectives attitudes about initial response knowledge challenges difficulties strategies deal these challenges, failure breastfeeding. results this also showed participants, one mother succeeded her Conclusions: Most who participated had their babies. Therefore, it necessary have comprehensive sustainable education counseling program on by considering family involvement, particularly husband parents
